UICSC Design Projects
The University of Idaho CSC team has a long history of innovation which continues today. This is a list of their major projects. Some are still under development or are currently on board our competition sled. Others are from years past and highlight the progress of the team from its beginning in 2001.
SCT Engine
Flex Fuel & Ethanol Sensing
Flex fuel sensor determines the capacitance of the fuel to determine the percentage of isobutanol in the fuel. It can then use this information to change the parameters of the engine.
Electronic Throttle Control
An in-house design a manufactured electronic throttle control, implemented to decrease noise and increase fuel economy. It relays throttle position to a servo stationed on the throttle bodies and then opens the throttle an appropriate amount.
